VALENTINA PETITO

Valentina Petito is a Biotechnologist. She took her PhD in Science of Nutrition and Metabolism at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome. Now she is a Postdoctoral fellow in Gastroenterology department at Fondazione Policlinico “A. Gemelli” in Rome, Italy. Her main interest are the mechanisms of mucosal healing in IBD and the mechanism of loss of response to “biological” drugs. She is specialized in mice model of GI disorders as well as the study of the modulation of immune system and of gut microbiome and metabolome in course of mice model of IBD and in course of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
